Harry Potter actor James Waylettwho is 19 years old, has played Vincent Crabbe in 6 Harry Potter movies and the upcoming Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, has been arrested for allegedly carrying drugs in his car along with his friend in central London on Tuesday.
Police stopped his car on the suspicion of carrying drugs. He carried Marijuana. After raiding the car, they found the Marijuana filled in bags. They arrested the actor along with his friend and took them to Central London police station.
Collecting the other sources, the police officers later raided his home, which he shared with his mother, sister and brother in Camden, north London. They found 10 cannabis plants worth 2,900 dollars and the plants were cultivated under powerful hydroponic lights.
Until the actor and his pal were bailed a date in July pending further inquiries. Legal experts claim that cannabis is considered a class B drug. The maximum punishment for growing the plant will be a 14-year jail sentence.
Waylett has only acted on screen in the “Harry Potter” films and is due in court sometime in July, the same time “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince” is set to hit theatres worldwide.
